A rugged tribute to Grand Seiko's pioneering Spring Drive technology
Inspired by the vivid sunrise as it illuminates the steep landscape of the nearby Hotaka mountain range in summer, this new Grand Seiko Spring Drive GMT Limited Edition employs a dark red dial celebrating the twenty year anniversary of the Japanese maker's pioneering Spring Drive movement, introduced in 2004. As with all Grand Seiko GMT watches, its ease of use is ensured through the local hour hand, which can be set independently, forward or backward, while the watch is running, ensuring precision is maintained when changing time zones according to one’s travels.
Like its larger 44mm Spring Drive Sport cousin, the case and bracelet on this new reference is in stainless steel and rated to 200 meters of water resistance. The Spring Drive GMT caliber delivers a precision rate of one second per day and has a power reserve of 72 hours.
